Our Mission
The Holy Synod of Bishops is the supreme canonical authority in the Church. It includes, as voting members, some of the bishops of the Church. The Metropolitan is the ex officio Chairman of the Synod. In case of his absence, a Chairman is elected by the bishops present.
Jurisdicition
Your Beatitude is technically the Primate of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in the USA.
We are technically the Primate of the Ukrainian Autocephelous Orthodox Church in the USA.
And we are both Metropolitan Archbishops of each other's respective parts of the one Ukrainian Church Unified Body...East and West...Roman Catholic and Orthodox.
This is the vision and the reality that Cardinal Slipyj and Primate Amvrosij had.
We stand and give an authentic witness of UNITY as Christ mandated, "that all may be one."
